2003 Mas Carlot Costieres de Nimes "Les Enfants Terrible"

Of the mixed bag that is 2003 in the south of France, this is one of the good ones. Deep, soft, black-ruby. Very ripe, deep-toned nose of sweet cream, soft cigar smoke, and blackberries. Soft, broad, low acid palate impression, with flavors of iodine, blackberry liqueur, and scorched earth. Lots of soft but unobtrusive tannin. Drink over the next year. 87.
