This wine was a gift, and I was ready to use it strictly for cooking, but it was actually pretty decent. I'm not a huge fan of middle-of-the-road California Cabernet, but this was nicely done. It's apparently widely available at around $11 or $12.Pretty, dark ruby color. Pleasant nose of dark berry fruit, vanillin from oak, and a touch of menthol. Soft, round entry, with nice clean berry and oak flavors. Not very concentrated or complex, but it's hard to find anything wrong with it. It's just not my cup of tea, but plenty of folks will like it, I'm sure. C+/B-.
